How do I book an appointment?

  • You can book an appointment through the eBooking system of the North Estonia Medical Centre, the National eBooking system or by phoning 617 1049.
  • In order to book an appointment, you will need a referral note (except to book an appointment with an ophthalmologist, dermatologist, venerologist, gynaecologist, psychiatrist, or when needing medical attention due to tuberculosis).
  • You can book an appointment at the ophthalmic surgery unit (located at Katusepapi 6) by calling 6025 380 between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. from Monday to Thursday, or by emailing Silmakirurgia@regionaalhaigla.ee.

I have arranged an appointment, diagnostic study or procedure. How do I know that it is going ahead as planned?

  • The hospital will send you an SMS notification about the appointment or diagnostic study 2 workdays prior.
  • If your appointment is planned as a telemedicine appointment, you will be contacted by phone at least one day before your appointment to confirm the time and medium (Skype, phone) of your telemedicine appointment. Please be available for phone calls.

Where do I go for sample collection?

  • Patients can give blood samples (incl. bringing in urine and stool samples and other samples collected at home) Mon.–Thur. from 7.30 a.m. to 5 p.m, Fri. from 7.30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the blood sampling office which is located in room C1070 by reception 9.

What do I need to know when coming in for an appointment?

  • If you have signs of a viral infection or have had known contact with someone who has COVID-19, we ask you to not come in for your appointment, in order to ensure the safety of other patients and hospital staff. You can rebook your appointment by calling 617 1049 or emailing registratuur@regionaalhaigla.ee.
  • We ask that you come in a little early, if possible (15 min early).

What special precautions must I follow at the hospital?

  • Please clean your hands with disinfectant when entering the hospital.
  • Please keep a safe distance from other people at the hospital.
  • Follow the rules of hygiene: disinfect or wash your hands regularly. Do not touch your face, eyes, or mouth with unwashed hands.
  • When you sneeze or cough, cover your mouth and nose with disposable tissue. Throw it in a bin at once and clean your hands. If you do not have a tissue, use your sleeve (elbow area), but not your bare hand. 

Am I allowed to bring packages to my family members and friends?

  • You are allowed to bring packages. Write the patient’s name and department on the package.
  • Mustamäe unit: you can leave packages at the information desk on the ground floor between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. from Monday to Friday and between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. on weekends / public holidays. The packages will be delivered to the departments between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Please do not bring perishable and unpackaged foods. Packages will not be accepted from Wolt/Bolt and other food delivery services.
  • Hiiu unit: you can leave packages in the wardrobe on the ground floor between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Foods will not be accepted.
  • Seevaldi unit: you can leave packages with the department caretaker between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. on weekdays and between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekends. Write the patient’s name and hospital room number on the package. You can bring small amounts of packaged foods. Please do not bring perishable and unpackaged foods. Wolt/Bolt and other food delivery services are not allowed at the psychiatry clinic.
  • Kose unit: you can leave packages with the department caretaker between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. on weekdays. You can bring drinks; food will not be accepted.

 

HOSPITALISATION  

What do I need to know when being hospitalised?

  • If you have a fever, cough, any other symptoms of viral disease, or you have been in close contact with a person who has COVID-19, notify the hospital by calling 617 1049 or emailing registratuur@regionaalhaigla.ee
  • Please clean your hands with disinfectant when entering the hospital.
